SOLWR LTD. (SOLWR, the Business, I, We, Us, Our) strives to achieve best practices in ecologically sustainable business operations, health, safety and welfare, equal opportunities and privacy. . .  as explicitly defined in the following policy statements.

scope of the policies:

We use sub-contractors to provide some elements of Our operations and so the following policies also apply equally to all those who work for (or apply to work for) the Business, including contract and agency workers, trainee workers and students on work experience or placements, volunteer workers and former employees.

The aim of this policy is to set out a commitment to the rigorous review of Our environmental performance and the use of sustainable natural resources.

    It is Our policy to:
  • Comply with all environmental legislation and regulations that cover Our activities and services.
  • Measure the environmental impact of all operations.
  • Strive for continual improvement in performance.
  • Ensure that all those who fall within the scope of these policies are trained and understand their role in minimising the environmental impact of our activities.
  • Meet or exceed environmental best practice guidelines for the sector.

health & safety

We recognise that health and safety supports good business performance and will, therefore, receive equal priority to that of all other business objectives.  The aim of this policy is to commit SOLWR to best practice in health and safety.  All those who fall into the scope of these policies will be expected to help the Business to achieve its legal obligations.

    It is Our policy to:
  • Comply with all health & safety legislation which cover Our activities.
  • Ensure the health, safety and welfare of Our employees by a detailed review of hazards.
  • Provide and maintain safe fixtures and equipment.
  • Prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill health.
  • Provide training, instruction and information necessary to enable safe working practice in all areas.
  • Make provision for all those who fall into the scope of these policies to raise safety issues.
  • Strive for continual improvement to ensure that the working environment is made progressively safer.

The aim of this policy is to set out the commitment of the Company to promoting equality of opportunity in all of Our business operations.

. . .and how we use them!

First of all, what is a cookie?   It is simply a small file placed on your computer's hard drive or mobile device when you first visit our website.

We use a Google Analytics cookie, which identifies the pages being viewed, how frequently, and remembers the search terms you used to find us, or the link you followed, which allows us to analyse web page traffic and optimise the site.

What else does it do?   It tells us about your device;  (the Operating System, screen shape & size, resolution etc.) so that the pages display correctly. . .  which is why you will see the 'Cookie Permissions' box again if you access the site from a different device!

What doesn't it do?   Our 'traffic log' cookie cannot harm your computer!   It does NOT give us access to your computer or any of your personal information.   We CANNOT see your name, IP address or email, details of any other sites you may have visited or your general online activity.

TO ACCEPT OR DECLINE?

You can choose to accept or decline cookies when you first enter the site.   Your choice will not affect the way the website functions, but clicking to ACCEPT cookies will allow pages to be displayed according to the capabilities of the device you are using;  mobile 'phone, tablet, laptop, desktop PC or SMART TV.

Accepting cookies also provides us with visitor analysis so that we can more accurately present the information that you need.

At Solŵr Wales, we take the privacy of our customers very seriously and, as demanded by our MCS Certification, the Company is fully compliant with all statutory requirements of GDPR  (General Data Protection Regulations).   As a part of this commitment we will NEVER share your information with third parties without your prior, written, consent.

Statement of Lawful Basis:   We hold and / or process your data because we have entered into a business communication or contract, or you have agreed to receive our communications.

Storage and security of your data:   We only hold data that you provide to us in the normal course of business and all data is securely stored according to best practice in the sector.

Individual rights requests:   Under GDPR you have the right to be informed about the data we hold, the right to request we erase your data and the right to object to the holding of any and all of your data.
