The BUS is a government funded program that provides a grant of up to £7,500 to help homeowners in Wales replace fossil fuel heating systems with low-carbon alternatives. . . including heat pumps.
Extended under the Warm Homes Plan, the Boiler Upgrade Scheme will now run well into 2030.
BONUS: Qualifying for the Boiler Upgrade SchemeTo qualify for a Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant, you'll only need to meet three simple criteria:
- You must own the property (either as your main home or a second property).
- You must be replacing an existing gas, oil, electric or LPG heating system.
- Your property must have a valid Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).
Don't worry about the paperwork, Solŵr Wales will apply for the grant on your behalf!

The Carbon Reduction Fund is a business grant scheme, operated by Pembrokeshire County Council, which provides capital support to businesses for the installation of renewable energy systems at their business premises.
BONUS: What can these grants be used for?Pembrokeshire Carbon Reduction Grants are applicable to the following technologies and installations.
- Solar photovoltaic panels (roof mounted/ ground mounted)
- Solar photovoltaic battery*
- Grid linked battery storage system*
- Air Source Heat Pumps (air to water & air to air)
- Solar thermal panels (roof mounted/ ground mounted)
- Combined Heat & Power (CHP) Systems
*Batteries MUST be installed by a contractor, like Solŵr Wales, registered under relevant Competent Persons Schemes (NICEIC, MCS & HEIS).
